Jeremiah Turbyville was a whiskey visionary, innovating before his time. Known for his intelligence, distinguished presence, and unshakable honesty, about the only dishonest thing he did was make whiskey in the hills of East Tennessee. While respecting the traditions of his craft, he was not afraid to innovate. Year after year, he studied the chemistry, distillation, and alchemy of it all.
He was mostly interested in non-traditional aging; not just using oak, but with cherrywood. This process proved to bring a unique flavor, smoother than oak with notes of dark cherry and subtle vanilla. When Jeremiah passed away, his son decided it was too good not to share. By partnering with the Southern Kentucky Distillery, Turby’s Cherrywood Bourbon can be enjoyed by everyone.
